|Management Edge is imparted to fine - tune the students' attitude, values, beliefs, motivation, desires, feelings, and eagerness to learn. Willingness to share and embrace new ideas, goal orientation, flexibility, persuasion, fuloristic thinking, compassion, diplomacy, cluster of skills and etiquette so that they will be able to deal with different situation diligently and with responsibility.
The Management Edge has three parts
Each one influence and complement the other.
3. Pre - Placement Training Program
This programme which involves total focus on knowledge area dealt by the eminent personalities who have vast experience and are from various background who contribute the rich knowledge to the students in the form of GD, interview skills and they train the students to notch up with capability of facing the corporate world through mock sessions and live demos. The eminent personalities hail from industry, academics, corporate training, enterprise, social services and foreign delegates. The highest form of distribution of facts of information which runs on concurrent lines about the corporate world is discussed. The department contributes along with management certain amount for the conduction and the rest mobilized from students.
4. Management Fest :
This has endurance in building the capabilities of management students at intercollegiate level.
|6. Case Study Analysis|
|This is mandatory as students do have the same in semester external examination. Hence, case studies are often done during the class hours with respective subjects to magnify the logical, analytical, decision making capabilities of the students. Eventually, this plays a pivotal role from the students end as they penetrate with analytical application of mind on the concept to give out the opinions. This endures the mindset of the students to be more alert and quick.|
|7. General Presentation|
|This is another activity which involves a diligent performance from the students as this looks forward to gaining of knowledge both in academics and also on current issues. Here, students collect information on topics relevant to management studies which involves analysis, facts and figures, which are discussed in the class and the interaction goes with even the quires/clarification. This also needs extensive preparation because it includes the current issues which are in practice.|
|8. Chapter Analysis Text|
|This is a regular course of action performed by the students which insists the students have to prepare the materials against the modules comprising different subjects divided and given. They have the discretion to use any mode (teaching aid) of their choice. This creates an opportunity for the students to be an exclusive reader since it involves huge efforts to collect the information's, compile and present the same. Once prepared, the materials are supposed to be given out in hard bound form. This serves as reference for the respective batches to come.|
|9. News Paper Analysis|
|This is a morale booster. Students ought to grab the all round knowledge which is possible only on regular reading of newspapers (General and Business) the department has been subscribing two national business newspapers viz., The Economic Times and Business Line. The former is subscribed for MBA final and the latter is for MBA previous. Here, students prepare a week's information which they disseminate to the audience and questions are asked and the students who present need to verify and defend the facts. The information generally is checked and cross checked.|
